Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Poze account and what happens to your data when you do. You do not need to be signed in to read it, and you do not need the app installed to make the request.
1. Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Poze.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and read the confirmation.
- Confirm. The account is closed straight away and you are signed out.
There is no undo. If you want a copy of your work first, use Settings → Account → Export my data before you delete.
2. If you no longer have the app
Email support@yes366.com with the subject line "Delete my account".
So that we delete the right account — and not someone else's — include whichever of these you still have:
- The email address on the account, sent from that address.
- The UID shown at the bottom of the Settings screen, if you noted it down.
- For a guest account with neither: tell us the approximate sign-up date and the device you used, and we will do our best to locate it.
We acknowledge within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything — this protects you from someone else closing your account.
If we cannot verify you to a reasonable standard, we will tell you so rather than guess. We will not ask you for identity documents just to run that check.
3. What is deleted, and when
| Data | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| Profile — nickname, email, avatar | Erased | Immediately |
| Sign-in credentials | The authentication record is deleted | Immediately |
| Device identifiers used for account recovery | Deleted | Immediately |
| Push notification tokens | Deleted | Immediately |
| Your creations — images, videos, audio | Removed from the app, then erased from storage | Within 30 days |
| Uploaded photos, videos and recordings | Removed from the app, then erased from storage | Within 30 days |
| Avatars and cloned voices | Removed from the app, then erased | Within 30 days |
| Posts you published to the community | Taken down from public view | Immediately |
Deleting removes things from the live service straight away. Backups are overwritten on their own schedule, so a copy can persist for up to 35 days before it is gone for good.
4. What we keep, and why
A small amount of data outlives the account. We keep it because the law requires it or because deleting it would let someone evade a rule — not because it is useful to us.
- Purchase and credit records — retained after account deletion for tax and accounting obligations. These are tied to the store transaction, not to your profile.
- Enforcement records — if content was removed for violating our Content Policy, we keep the minimum needed to enforce the decision. Otherwise a ban would be undone by deleting and re-registering.
- Aggregated statistics — counts that cannot be traced back to you. These are not personal data and are not deleted.
5. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so we cannot cancel them on your behalf. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
- Google Play — Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Poze → Cancel.
- App Store — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Poze → Cancel.
Unused credits and any remaining paid period are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.
6. Questions
Write to support@yes366.com. If you are exercising a data protection right rather than simply closing the account — access, correction, objection — see §12 of the Privacy Policy, which sets out the routes and the deadlines we work to.
